Letter Link: learn through an example

Letter Link gives you a focused activity to play in your browser. Find every target word from the six-letter bank. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Choose a comfortable screen position before beginning. Look at what changes after your first action.

Make words from two letter sets: PLANET and STREAM. Each set uses a selected list of accepted answers.

Build familiarity through play

Locate the buttons and input area before beginning a long round. Use the on-screen labels to avoid an accidental restart. Use the example to check your reasoning.

The goal to keep in mind

Find every target word from the six-letter bank. Keep that objective in view throughout the round. Try to explain the aim in your own words.

A walkthrough of the rules

  1. Select letters in order, each tile once per word.
  2. Submit the word.
  3. Clear letters to retry.
  4. Find all displayed word lengths.

Input guidance

Tap letters and Submit word. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Use the visible help when you are unsure of the next input.

A closer look at one example

PLANET makes PLANT, PLANE and PETAL. Your next round may have a different position, so inspect it before acting. Choose a deliberate next step.

Where a round can go wrong

Not every dictionary word is a target in this curated list. Read the feedback to see why an action did not have the expected result. Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round.
