A practical guide to Yukon Solitaire

Bring your attention to one round of Yukon Solitaire. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Begin with the solo mode shown on the page. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.

One deck, no stock, Yukon deal. Free solo play, no wagering.

An idea for your next attempt

Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use. Notice the feedback after each input.

What you are aiming for

Build four suit foundations from ace to king. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. Check the rules when you are unsure.

The steps to play

  1. Build down in alternating colours. Any face-up card carries all cards below it, even when unordered. Kings fill empty columns.
  2. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
  3. Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

How your actions work

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. A new-round button replaces the current round.

Work through an example

A red 6 carrying an unordered tail can move onto a black 7. Focus on why the action is allowed, not only its outcome. Choose a deliberate next step.

Notice this detail

Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Check the rule before repeating the action. Choose one rule to keep in mind for this round. Apply it consistently rather than guessing what another version might allow.
